Organizational Hacks
Use Storage Bins
Find some cheap and various size storage bins to label and store miscellaneous items. I use this organizing hack in the bedroom as well as in the garage. For the garage, I recently purchased the storage tubs that can be found at Walmart, Big Lots, Costco, etc. and labeled them according to the items being store inside the bin. For the bedrooms I use plastic shoe bins to separate and store items, such as arts/crafts, school supplies, beauty supplies, toys, excess hygiene products, etc.
Toy Storage Hack
We all know that the amount of toys your children can accrue can get pretty out of hand. And if all of the toys are all in the same room and emptied onto the floor it can be overwhelming to clean. Therefore, one tip that I can give is splitting the amount of toys into different storage bins. Keep rotating the bins from locations of 1) being played with, 2) kept away until the next rotation to be played with, and 3) to be donated or thrown away. Have a routine where you check for broken toys or gently used toys that are no longer of the child's interest. These can be tossed into the trash or donated to your local donation location.
Food Storage
I like to keep my foods separated by shelves in the fridge. Any fruits and vegetables that are stored in the fridge will be paired together to not spoil. If I put fresh meats or poultries into the fridge they are always placed on the bottom shelf just for the instance that any leakage of blood or juice occurs it will not spill all over other stored food items. Always keep food items with soon to be expiration dates towards the front of the fridge to remind yourself to use before you have to toss them out. Find a recipe that allows you to toss in all almost expired food to use them before wasting them, such as a soup.
